Emily is 94 Weeks Old!!

Emily is 94 weeks old.  We had another fun week!  We got most of our Christmas shopping done, and boy does this girl love to shop!  I'm not quite so sure what makes it so exciting, but Emily loves it.  One of her favorite stores is Shop Rite.  Too bad for her I try to avoid that store as much as I can!  We had fun celebrating Pop Pop's birthday on Friday.  Then we went hunting for our Christmas tree on Saturday.  It was a beautiful day to be wandering through fields of trees.  Sunday we celebrated Jay's birthday with a nice family dinner and once again Emily found her home in the tupperware cabinet!  Here are some pics of the fun...

Look what Emily found on our shopping adventure.  A Snuggie Bear for her baby brother!

Let's just straighten this out a bit.

Pop Pop gave Emily The Night Before Christmas recordable book.  She loves it!

It's a baby.....

BOY!  Yes, Emily is going to have a baby brother.  We are all excited and can't wait for him to join our family.  He is healthy and weighs in at 13 ounces.  Here is a picture of our little man.

We had an "It's a boy!" party to share the news with the grandparents.  Here are a few pictures of our fun!

Emily likes the blue booties too!

Emily definitely enjoyed her cake!  Pop Pop had nothing to do with the mess...

Emily is 93 Weeks Old!

Emily is 93 weeks old.  We had another fun week and start to December!  Emily is really enjoying her advent calendars (yes, she has three!) and believe it or not the chocolate one is not her favorite!  Don't worry, she does enjoy it but loves moving the mouse along each day even more.  I don't know if she really understands what we are counting down to, but the counting is fun!  We went for an ultrasound this week and Emily really enjoyed watching the pictures of the baby.  I'll update more about that in the next post.  We also made the trip down to Dana's house and had a great time.  Emily even got to color with markers for the first time!  It turns out not all Crayola markers are washable, but after a nice bath the next day Emily's hands were color free!  Here are some pics from our week of fun.

December 1st!

Stylin' and eating a cookie.

Emily loves the singing and dancing dog.

Emily thinks she loves lemons, but as you can see she does not!
She kept eating it and making that face every time.

Coloring with Dana.  She even learned to use a few markers at a time!

Emily is 92 Weeks Old!

Emily is 92 Weeks old.  We had a great week.  We spent a good chunk of it in Boston visiting Eddie and Carrie.  They prepared a wonderful Thanksgiving feast and Emily especially enjoyed all of the time she got to spend with Millie the dog (and everyone else too!)  We went to the aquarium and Emily LOVED the penguins.  I think she could have stayed there all day watching them.  On Sunday, we went to the Christmas Parade in Metuchen with Gia and Pe Pa.  Emily enjoyed it for the most part, but was not a big fan of all the noise.  The marching bands and fire trucks especially.  Oh, and tooth count is up to ten.  Another one on the bottom popped through this weekend.  Here are some pics of our Thanksgiving week...

So happy together!

Emily loved drawing on the chalkboard on Thanksgiving.

Time for Christmas jammies and books!

Emily is 91 Weeks Old!

Emily is 91 weeks old today.  We had a pretty uneventful week and Mike and I were sick for a couple of days, so this week was definitely light on the pictures.  Emily is still full of fun and interesting things, you never know what will come out of her mouth!  She hears and remembers everything!!  We had our first family movie night on Saturday and Emily was totally into it.  We watched "Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue" and Emily loved it!  She intently watched the entire thing, I kept checking to see if she fell asleep, but no she was just in the zone.  She even got to stay up until 8:30, what a lucky girl!  This was Emily's first introduction to the fairy/princess genre and she is definitely in love.  Daddy really enjoyed the movie too, so no worries!  We are looking forward to Thanksgiving this week with our 21 month old!  Yup, another one has passed and tomorrow Emily is officially 21 months old.  Time to start the birthday planning, I think so!  I am totally not ready to have a TWO YEAR OLD!  I guess I better cherish these next 3 months (not that I haven't cherished every moment so far, it's just all going way too fast!)  Here are our pics from this week...

Boxes are the best!
Emily picked out her own shoes.  She is definitely making her fashion preferences known!

I try to put bows in Emily's hair, but if we're lucky they last a minute. She wants them OUT!

Sitting on the train.

Yummy Snack!

Emily has rediscovered her chatter telephone.  She was holding the receiver and looking for the buttons.  We had to explain that the dial was the "Buttons".  She was also playing with my cell phone this week and told me it was broken, because she was touching the screen and nothing was happening like it does on Daddy's iPhone.  Oh man...

Emily is 90 Weeks Old!

Emily is 90 weeks old today!  Another tooth popped through on the bottom, so we are up to 9!  Those molars are still working their way through but are mostly there now.  Emily is just so much fun.  I have recapped a fun girls day at home for you.

Wednesday - We had a great day at home today.  We played all morning and spent over an hour playing with Emily's stuffed animals in her crib.  I pulled out a big sheet and made a tent out of her crib.  We had a lot of laughs and had a great morning.  After nap I asked Emily is she wanted to go on the potty (she always says no and that's the end of it) but this time she said yes.  We went to the bathroom and she sat on the potty for awhile and got on and off a few times.  She noticed the water and we talked about that for awhile and talked about how she goes swimming in the pool water, dolphins go swimming in the ocean, and the poopies go swimming in the toilet, then what do you know, she poops!  Of course she was standing next to the potty and not sitting on it, but I scooped it into the toilet and we got to watch it "swim".  She was so proud of herself and so excited for being such a big girl!  I know we are no where near actually being potty trained, but it was an exciting moment.  We ended the day by making chocolate chip cookies together and I don't think I've ever had so much fun baking.  Emily put all of the ingredients into the bowl and we just had a great time together.  Then, I let her lick the beaters and she is definitely a cookie dough lover (who wouldn't be?).  We had a great day and Emily had some real "Big Girl" moments.  Can't wait for the adventure to continue!

Fun in the crib!

Mmmmm...cookie dough!

Making funny noises!

Emily is 89 Weeks Old!

Emily is 89 Weeks old today.  She is just tons of fun and learning more everyday.  She loves coloring with her crayons and her scribbles are becoming a bit more purposeful.  Yes they are still scribbles, but she will say she is coloring the bear and scribble all over the bear.  She is also starting to sing some of her songs and recite books a little bit.  She doesn't have all the words quite figured out but she sings parts of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and of course Ring around the Rosie.  We started working on Jingle Bells, so there may be a Christmas concert in your future!!  Here are some pics from this week.

All ready for our Monday morning walk.  Yes, she has mittens on, it was COLD!

Who knew changing sheets could be so much fun?
Sliding down the hallway on the old sheets.  Great game Daddy!

All ready for....a nap in the rain?

Yes, this is how many leaves fell in our backyard in a week.
I love the hand in the pocket in this pic.

Running with a stick!  Yeah!

She found the leaf pile!

Say cheese!
She has finally figured out what that means and actually says it and smiles for me now.  When she wants to of course!
