Week 35 and Week 148

William is 35 weeks old and Emily is 148 weeks old.  We had a fun week of preparing for Christmas and an awesome Christmas weekend!  Emily was super excited about it all and William, well, just took it all in!  It's a good thing he had his big sister to help him open all of his gifts otherwise we'd probably be doing it for days.  Emily loved opening and playing with all of her new stuff and William's too!  It was really nice to celebrate as our family of four.  Oh and between chasing after 2 kids, forgetting our camera, and my battery dying on the camera I did have on Christmas, I did my best taking pics!!!!  If you have any good ones to share, please do!!!

Here are some pics of our fun...

My two babies!

Emily wrapping the gifts she bought for everyone.  I took her shopping at the dollar store and she picked out gifts for everyone.  She had a lot of fun and it was her way of giving too!  We also used her paintings as wrapping paper to deplete our stash a bit! :)

The gift she didn't get for Christmas!
Emily was so excited that Santa brought her everything she wanted, but was very upset that he didn't bring her a bicycle.  She started crying when she told Grammie about it.  My parents have a bike for her but were waiting until she was bigger, she still has to wait but was soooo happy to get a glimpse of it!

Week 34 and Week 147

William is 34 weeks old and Emily is 147 weeks old!  And what a busy week it was.  We were out doing something everyday this week.  I think I may have finished my Christmas shopping, now on to the wrapping!!!  Michael was off on Friday so we went to see Santa.  Emily talked to him and told him everything she wanted...an umbrella, a computer, and a bicycle.  She refused to sit on his lap though.  Luckily they were prepared for such events and had a big present for her to sit on in front of him.  William, our happy go lucky little boy became aware of the world just in time...he totally FREAKED when we put him on Santa's lap.  We calmed him down and tried again and he looked up and just started screaming again, poor little guy.  We definitely got a pic to remember.  I think I find it even more amusing because he is such a happy baby and always smiling, we don't have too many sad face pictures.  Saturday was the big Cookie Day and we all had a great time.  Emily loved helping make the cookies and decorating them, especially her gingerbreads!!  She's been asking for gingerbread cookies for weeks and finally got to make (and eat) them.

As always time is going by super fast and my kids are growing like crazy.  William rolls and spins himself all over the place and Emily is slowly learning to keep her stuff off of the floor if she doesn't want her brother to get it.  It is really neat to see Emily's sense of humor develop.  It's really been coming out the last few months as she plays tricks on us and says silly things.  She also likes to repeat things she hears Pop Pop say, so we all know that's going to be silly!!!

Here are some pics of our fun this week...

Couldn't resist the Santa diapers!

Week 33 and Week 146

William is 33 weeks old and Emily is 146 weeks old.  We had a busy week full of lots of running around and fun!  William's big accomplishment was clapping!  He started clapping and it is so cute.  He is such a happy boy.  Mike and I had a wedding to go to this weekend so the kids got to spend some fun time with Grammie and Pop Pop.  They first went to Tyler's first birthday party and then partied down at Grammie and Pop Pop's house.  William was very clingy to my Mom and definitely missed his Mama.  Emily had a great time and has really gotten over some of her Mommy attachment (for now anyway).  It seems to be a cycle with her, but hopefully she'll be good for awhile now.  The turning point for her seems to be her dance recital on Friday.  I was so nervous she was not going to make it out on stage, but she was not only there, but dancing up a storm and looking super cute!  Afterwords she was so giddy and excited and loved watching all of the other dancers.  Since then, she's been awesome and even talks about how much she loves dance class, even if I don't get to be in the room!  What a change from even a month ago.  I think being at the recital it all just clicked for her, she realized what dance class was all about.  And of course, she's in love.  I'm in for it now, huh?

We went to get our Christmas tree today.  We found a good one fairly quickly and had some fun playing around the farm before we headed home to set it up and decorate.  Emily loved putting the ornaments on the tree.  It is so much fun getting ready for Christmas this year since she knows what its all about and is excited about every little thing!  She doesn't think it's Christmas until it snows though, but I'm sure with Erin coming home we'll get something on the ground before then!!

Here are some pics of our fun:

At least she dressed herself!

William figured out how to turn his mobile on during what was supposed to be his nap!  He likes to play with his socks too.

Christmas Crafting!

Emily had to try this bow on him and was calling him a princess.  Poor boy!

I can do it myself!

Not a great pic, but he was clapping.

This one is just her size!

This is the perfect tree.  Emily wouldn't cooperate for a pic though!

Cutting down our Christmas tree is fun.

Emily the Snowman

Exhausted after a fun weekend!

Emily figured anything she wanted to put on the tree could be an ornament.

She had to help with everything!

What a nice cluster there, Emily.  The lights weren't even finished yet, she just couldn't wait!!!

Emily's section of the tree.  We got a lot of ornaments on in no time!
