Week 9 and Week 122!

William is 9 weeks old!  He weighed in at 14 lbs 2 oz at his 2 month appointment.  He is also 24 inches long.  95th and 90th percentile respectively.  I knew he was a big boy and am glad that he is not off the charts yet!  The nurse even measured him twice just to be sure she had it right and she did!  Emily has been doing awesome with the potty.  She goes on the potty most of the time when we are home, but doesn't really have an interest when we aren't home.  Being away most of the weekend didn't really help, but hopefully we'll get right back on track.  We spent most of the week getting ready for the big 30 party on Saturday.  Yep, the 81ers are all 30 and we had an awesome party to celebrate!  Thank you so much to everyone who helped out and especially my parents who did so much work in hosting the big bash!  Here are some pics of the fun!

Yes, Little Brothers are AWESOME!

Week 8 and Week 121

William is 8 weeks old.  His big accomplishment of the week was rolling over from his back to his belly!  He has only done it once, but he is such a wiggler I'm sure he'll be doing it again in no time.  Whenever I get him out of his crib he is in a different place from where I left him.  He spins and rolls to his side always kicking his feet like crazy!

Emily is 121 weeks old and had a first this week also!  She had her first haircut.  It was really just more of a trim, but it looks better than it did and hopefully her pigtails will look a little more even now too.  She's getting better at leaving clips in although we seem to be losing them all the time.  Emily's other big accomplishment of the week is the potty!  She's been using it a lot and is very excited about it.  We still have wet diapers throughout the day but she is using the potty and asking to go more and more which is great!  Almost all of her poops are on the potty, which makes me really happy.

We had a busy weekend celebrating my birthday and Father's Day, but had a lot of fun!  Here are some pics...

All done!  Still not so sure what to think...

Week 7 and Week 120!

William is 7 weeks old and Emily is 120!  Wow, they are both getting soooo big!  I weighed both of them on Wii Fit this week and Emily was almost 28 pounds and Will was almost 14!!!!  I can't believe how fast Will is growing.  I'm not doing anything differently this time, he's just a big boy who knows how to eat efficiently!  He's been consistently sleeping 5 to 6 hours at night which is great.  I just can't wait for a little bit longer of a stretch or at least 2 longer stretches in a row, but I'll definitely take what I can get and can't complain.  He's also been pretty good about going right back to sleep after he eats.  William also slept all night in his crib for the first time on Saturday and I think it will continue as he really is getting a bit big for the basket.  My baby is growing up way too fast!!!!

Here are some Emily moments of the week...

One night we forgot to put on Emily's night light and she woke up in the middle of the night saying it was dark (I was thinking, yeah it's 3 am of course it is dark!) but as Michael went in to check on her her face was right in front of her pillow and she was screaming "I can't see my pillow!"  I don't think we will be forgetting the night light anytime soon!

Pop Pop came by one day this week and after he left Emily said "Pop Pop is silly" and when I asked her why she said it was because he is noisy!  She's got everyone figured out already.

We have been trying to get Emily to name her dolls instead of calling them all "baby" all the time.  Aunt Donna started it by naming one of them Maddy for her.  That totally stuck, Aunt Donna Thanks!  So we then named one of her other favorite dolls Annie.  One was mine as a kid so we stuck with his name of Michael.  The other two she finally named herself, they are of course interesting but she did it herself.  It's the first time she came up with a name other than what the item is (Doll, puppy dog, etc).  And they are......Cupcakes for the doll who has cupcakes on her dress and the other is Chay chi chach.  Really not sure how to spell it, but you get the idea.  She is quite a silly girl and yes she is noisy too!! :)

Here are some pics...

Emily had to help feed Will his second bottle.  You can see how much attention she is paying to her job!  Will does great with the bottle and Mommy and Daddy actually got a night out! :)

Emily Loves Watermelon

She would not let me get the hat on right.  She's the one who found it and wanted to wear it!

I thought maybe I'd get a cute pic of my dainty little princess eating a strawberry...yeah right!!

Just shove it in there girl!

First ride on Daddy's shoulders

Potty Girl!  Emily pooped on the potty on Saturday.  She has been really anti potty lately, but out of the blue asked to sit on it.  We sat and read a couple of books and sang some songs and all of a sudden she stands up and says "I DID IT!"  She was so excited, but has not sat on the potty since...

Week 6 and Week 119!

William is 6 weeks old and Emily is 119 weeks old.  The week started with a nice Memorial Day celebration at the Quarry followed by a pretty relaxing week and some nice weather!  Emily had a great time at the dentist with me on Tuesday.  She got a new toothbrush and a balloon.  Hopefully she will be excited when she gets to go for her own visit now!  We went to the park a couple of times this week and Sunday was the Spring Festival in town.  We spent some time at the MOMS Club table and walking around checking things out.  Emily had a great time but gets a little scared of certain things like bouncy houses and fire trucks.  She wants to go near them to check them out, but not in them.  William slept the whole day, but he looked pretty happy!  William has been sleeping better at night and most nights he has only been waking me up once.  Of course not last night, but hopefully we'll be back to it again tonight!

Not a bad looking family!

Little Brothers are Awesome!

Emily discovers finger painting.  She started with using just one finger and was very quickly dipping her whole hand in the paint and having a blast!

Starting to grow out of the basket...

Six weeks old!

Happy Boy!

Emily loves finding things to do in William's room.

Emily is very into the alphabet lately.  She sings the song, makes us sing it, and is always asking which words start with which letters.  Especially her favorite people.  Connor and Evan win this one!!

For a girl who is such a creature of habit, she sleeps in a different position every night!  I finally decided to take a picture.  It's quite amusing when we check on her at night.  At least she kept her clothes on this time...
