Emily is 40 weeks old today!! Time sure does fly when you're having fun. We had a very busy week. We visited with Jill, Josh, Abby, and Brooke for a bit on Wednesday. Hung out with Great Grandma and Grammie that night. Then we celebrated Thanksgiving (more on that in a separate post). Friday we visited with Carrie, Erin, Eddie, Grammie, and Pop Pop. Saturday Emily got to spend some time with Grandma while Mike and I went to Albert & Alex's wedding. Then Sunday we totally crashed and relaxed! Emily even slept until 8 am!! We wore her out this weekend. Thanksgiving morning, Emily learned that sticking her tongue out can be quite fun!! She is moving and grooving all over the place and chatting up a storm. Our little girl is definitely growing up!! Oh yeah, at her 9 month appointment on Monday she was 16 lbs, 15 oz and 28.5 inches long (if I remember correctly!) A happy, healthy little girl with a model build, tall and skinny, let's hope that sticks around!!
Changing Time!
Looking cute in her Thanksgiving shirt.
First time in a restaurant high chair. She loved it! Applebee's with Great Grandma and the Hellwig's. We had fun and it was great to see everyone! The other pics I took weren't great, so they didn't make the blog. Sorry!
Emily playing with Great Grandma.
I can stick out my tongue, so I'll do it all the time!
40 weeks old. It was tough to get a good pic this week. Our little mover would not sit still!
Albert and Alexandra got married on Saturday November 28, 2009. It was a beautiful service in a packed church. They were definitely surrounded by love on their special day. The service was followed by a wonderful reception at the Conservatory at the Sussex County Fairgrounds. Everything was beautiful and everyone had a great time. Congratulations to the happy couple!!
Emily's First Thanksgiving began with a lazy morning for the girls, while Daddy ran a 5K with Eddie, Jesse, Cristin, Pat, and Connor. We were going to go cheer them on, but it was so early and foggy we decided to stay home and relax! We watched the Macy's parade then got ready to go to Uncle Bud and Aunt Natalie's for Thanksgiving Dinner. It was a great afternoon to spend with family, especially Aunt Erin who came all the way from Georgia to be with us. Emily had turkey for the first time and believe it or not was the center of attention all day! Here are some pics from Thanksgiving.
Jesse and Connor getting ready to run!
Pat and Eddie during the race. And yes, the top of Connor's head!
Emily is not only 39 weeks old today, but she is officially NINE MONTHS OLD!!!! 3/4 of a year! Emily's first birthday is approaching faster than I can believe. We are looking forward to the holidays with our alert and mobile little girl. She has been eating a lot of finger foods, even a little chicken and veggies this week! Maybe she'll even get some turkey on Thanksgiving. Emily is rolling and belly crawling all over the place, she gets up on all fours every now and again, but drops in order to scurry to get what she wants. She'll be playing and all of a sudden spot something she wants and takes off, she's quick and of course cute! When she finds something low enough to grab onto, she will pull herself up onto her knees. Luckily we don't have too many things she can get to yet, but when we went to playgroup Emily and her friend AC were pulling up on their entertainment center. It was like they were teaching each other. I don't mind if she takes a bit longer to master that one though! Emily also figured out how to twist her tongue in her mouth and enjoys doing that quite often. We go to the doctor's tomorrow to find out her 9 month stats, but I think she is steadily growing and is definitely a happy little girl. Here are our pics from the week...
Playing with the big kid toys in the waiting room at the dentist.
Chewing on the keys.
Climbing and crawling around. She loves getting under here, it's like her secret hiding place!
Just being cute and holding her boots, not wearing them, of course!!
Hanging out with Mommy at Judy's birthday party. Emily was such a party girl, then went right to sleep when I put her down! Thanks for being so good Emily!!!
Well, here I am again. Another week has passed, Emily is now 38 weeks old! Getting close to 9 months, not yet though...she is still my 8 month old for now!! She is moving around like crazy and getting into everything she can. She's getting up on her knees a lot and doing her belly crawl much more efficiently. She's going to be crawling for real in no time! I probably said this last week, but it's really time to baby proof now!!! So far, she hasn't figured out how to get into cabinets or anything though. I'm sure I'll be posting about that next week! Emily also now says "Yeah", so it really feels like we're talking if we ask her a yes or no question, she answers "yeah" every time!! We've had some nice weather so we've gotten outside for some walks which is a nice November surprise! Hopefully it keeps up!!! Here are our pics of the week...
Our little Math Baby. She's always trying to figure things out!
I love toys!!!
Emily's new favorite sleeping position. So cute!!!
Now, that looks like a cool place to play!!
That's better Emily, you just need to ask Mommy or Daddy to put you in it when you want to play!
I think she looks like such a big girl here. Getting into the 12 month size clothes!
Let's go Jets! Unfortunately they aren't giving us much to cheer about lately!
Emily is 37 weeks old today and she is on the move!! She has mastered the army crawl and is getting up on her knees a bit now too! She is already all over the place and it's just gonna get worse, or better, depending on how you look at it! She's having fun with more and more new foods and we're working on the sippy cup. Her new favorite activity is to get over to her toy bin, flip it over, and take out every single toy. It's amazing to me how quickly babies learn that one! How is that the first thing she figured out when she made it to the toy bin. It wasn't let's just choose a new toy, but take them all out and then roll around in them all!!! I guess the next thing she needs to learn is how to clean it all up! That's soon, right? The best toys for helping her crawl seem to be her wiffle ball and a red solo cup. She gets to them, then bats them away and then has to chase after them. Loads of fun! Here are some pics from the week.
Fall fun!
So cute, surrounded by her mess of toys!
This is the one I want to play with, for now...
Reading under the table
Smile!
Laundry Time!
Get those knees up! She likes to sleep in this position now too.
Working on those cup skills.
Fun with Aunt Wendy!
37 Weeks Old. This week was a tough one for pics. She would not sit still!!!
