Emily is 22 Weeks Old!

Well, another week has passed. Emily made it to 5 months!! (not that we doubted that at all!) She was officially 5 months old on Wednesday. I don't know where the time has gone. Emily is getting stronger every day. She holds her head up really well and is continuing her workout routine with her sit ups. I think she will be sitting on her own really soon. She's done it a little bit here and there but falls over really quickly so I don't think it really counts yet. We had a lot of fun visiting this week. The highlight was finally getting to meet Aunt Barbara and Eliot yesterday. They came all the way from Florida just to see Emily!!

Just being cute!

It's Pi Day again! (For those who don't know...22/7 is another approximation of pi, so July 22 is the day to celebrate!!) It also happens to be Emily's 5 month birthday! See, she knows her numbers, she's holding up 5 for her age!!!

Genius in the making (or math nerd at least!)

Enjoying some tummy time!

Sooooo Big! It's time to put the moses basket away for good!

First time on Daddy's shoulders. I'm sure this is the first of many pics like this!

Playing with Grandma and her bunny.

The shirt says it all...Too cute!!

Reading her book. This is Emily's new favorite toy. Thanks Grammie!!!

All dressed up for her 22 week picture!

21 Weeks!

Well, it's been 21 weeks since our little Emily was born. It's gone oh so fast. She is becoming so much more aware of everything going on (I know I say this a lot, but it's true each time...) She is grabbing for EVERYTHING and always has her arms out ready to reach for something! Then of course, it goes straight to her mouth. She also decided she needed to work on her abs a bit and has been doing sit ups on a pretty regular basis. Perhaps, Mommy should start joining her! Summer is flying by, but we are enjoying it. Check out our pictures this week...

Playing with my favorite link toy from my gym!

Showing off those abs! She's headed for a six pack by six months!!

How can you resist that little face??

Smile!

Backyard fun with Connor!

Hi Everyone! She always has her arms out, I don't know how she does it. I would be so tired!

Goofy Eyes

Just playing. Her knees are bent ready for another sit up!

Emily is 20 Weeks Old!!!

Well it seems like just yesterday I was sitting here posting for Week 19. But, another week has passed already. We had lots of fun and Emily has really found her voice. We have been waking up to her "singing" most mornings. I think we have a musician in the family! We had some more firsts this week, like the first time at the beach and the first overnight and Grandma & Grandpa's. Mike and I got to go to a wedding this weekend and left Emily all afternoon and evening! Don't worry, we all survived!!

That's our happy girl!

First time at the beach, not counting the time we walked the boardwalk and Emily slept through it all. Here she is with Grammie having some fun!

It was a cool day and we didn't want any sunburn, so I covered her from head to toe and she decided to take a nice beach nap in her new tent! There's nothing like a good beach nap.

Just look at that smile. She's having fun!

She's cute and she knows it!

Twenty Weeks Old!

Emily has had enough of weekly pictures. Uncle Eddie made a bet with us, so we were going to try to keep this going until 1,000 weeks! We thought the trouble would come in her teenage years, boy were we wrong!!! We'll keep trying, but it's time for a new sign!

Emily is 19 Weeks Old Today!

Well, there isn't a whole lot more to say about this week. We had a fun 4th of July weekend and Emily was good and enjoyed it along with us. She slept through her first night of fireworks, and I can only imagine how different next year will be!!! Our baby is 19 weeks old.......

Emily LOVES putting anything into her mouth as can be expected. She loves her jingly toys, they seem to be the perfect size for her little hands and mouth!

Connor came to visit this week. This is the closest picture of a smile I got!

Connor had fun playing with Emily's toys. Not so sure what Emily thought about it, but she had a nice lap to play in!!

Happy Fourth of July! Emily all ready for the party in her patriotic dress!

A Day in the Life...

Today was another rainy summer day. So, what better to do than document Emily's day with pictures!!! We woke up a little late today, 6:30. Thanks for letting Mommy sleep an extra half hour Emily! After having a nice morning meal and playing a bit, Emily decided to sit with her Boppy and let Mommy take some pics. After that and a little more playing it was time for nap # 1.

Here's Emily in her crib after waking up about an hour later. Mommy got to eat some breakfast and do a couple of other random things while Emily slept.

It's time to get dressed!! What should Emily wear today? I bet it's gonna be something pink!!!

Emily played in her gym while Mommy made some cereal. Look at that happy girl!!

Cereal time! Emily did much better with it this time. She even started opening her mouth and leaning toward the spoon as it was coming. This eating from a spoon thing might not be so bad after all!

But of course, no meal would be complete without a snack from Mom. The best stuff on earth!

After a nice meal we decided to read a book together. Well, at least hold and eat the book!

Then we played on the couch with a rattle and did some finger eating too!

Hey, how about some tummy time in the crib? Emily didn't seem to mind. Or did she roll that way after being on her back, yeah it was this morning and I don't even remember anymore!

It's naptime again. Look how cute she is when she sleeps.
This time she slept for almost 3 hours, but I was tired so I napped part of the time too. I also got some work done though, so it wasn't a total waste!!

After waking up from her nap it was playtime again. This time she rolled onto her tummy from her back and didn't start screaming right away either. She still tends not to roll back even though she isn't happy on her tummy after awhile.

Time to check out the mobile and play some more. Then it was naptime again. Just a short one this time, but an early evening nap is always wonderful!

Check out the smiles I get when she wakes up. I love those smiles the best.

After the nap Emily hung out in her chair playing and watching the Mets finally win in the 10th inning! Mommy was nearby but was able to get a little cleaning done.

Daddy got home a little early today, so Mommy took advantage and ran to the food store. Unfortunately Emily couldn't wait any longer so Daddy gave her a bottle. Look at that girl holding it all by herself! Pretty good, especially since she is a booby lover!

Mommy came home and it was time for a bath. Everyone loves a clean Emily!

Then it was time to put on her PJ's, sing a song and go to sleep. Here she is all ready for bed!

She's now sound asleep and will hopefully stay that way until morning. Time for me to go get something accomplished before bed. Which will probably be soon anyway!!! Thanks for reading. I know it wasn't that exciting, but it's our life! And don't worry, she did eat more than three times today, but I didn't want to bore you with every little detail, I just posted the good stuff!!!
