57 Weeks

Emily is 57 weeks old!  13 months!!  She is continuing to grow and discover each and every day.  We were at a party on Monday and she had a little cupcake.  Yes, she finally likes eating cake!  When she was finished, she just looked at me and signed more.  Yup, she totally understands that one, so of course I had to give her another cupcake.  I knew there was no way she could be my daughter and not love her sweets, but it would be nice if it took her a little bit longer to figure it out!  She has also been giving hugs, kisses, and high fives when asked for awhile now too.  We had a pretty low key week, Emily wasn't feeling well, I think we finally got through our first cold.  She made it over a year without getting sick, I suppose it was bound to happen.  She was feeling better by the weekend though, so we made it to Connor's 2nd birthday party.  We had a great time!  Here are some pics from this week...

I know I'm a bit late, but I really don't have any good pics of Emily in her birthday tutu.  So, we did a mini photo shoot this week.  I think I'll have to try again.  But here is one of the better ones.

 And another.

Playing with her ball.

 She climbed in herself.

As close as I could get to a shot with Nana and her three great grandkids.
At least 2 of them are looking, although they do not look happy about it!

Nana, Danny, and Emily.  Where's Connor?

The birthday boy, Connor, and his awesome cake!

Blowing out the candle!  He got it right on cue!!

Emily is 56 Weeks Old!

Our little girl is another week older, and almost a 13 month old!  Still no teeth, but they sure are making Emily miserable.  Four of them are just waiting to pop!  I hope it happens soon.  I am trying to be more consistent with signing and Emily has now consistently signed "more" several days in a row!  She is taking more and more steps, I think she's up to about 12 now.  She still likes to lunge or dive when she reaches her destination, but is getting a little better about staying on her feet.  We had some awesome weather this week, so we spent lots of time outside in the backyard, going for walks, and even to the park!  It took Emily awhile to want to walk on the ground outside, but I think she is finally accepting it a little better.  I'm not sure what it is, but as soon as her feet touch the ground she lifts one up and starts screaming.  She loves sitting in her wagon and swinging in the swings at the park though!  We did a lot of St. Patrick's day celebrating, hence the green in most of the pictures!  Here are some pics from this week...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
This girl loves sitting in her wagon!

Standing on the deck.  Doing ok with it at this moment.

Swings!
Emily's friend Sophia is having fun pushing her.

Kiss me I'm Irish!

Celebrating some more!

Uncle Jesse and Emily

Uncle Jesse got Emily to walk on the ground.  Yippee!!

I think they both like green beer!

We pulled out the shades this weekend.  She actually kept them on for awhile.

Emily is 55 Weeks Old!

Another week has gone by...and our little one year old is growing and discovering everyday.  She has really started mimicking what Mike and I do and say a lot.  She is still working on walking, but made it up to 7 steps a few times today!  We had a pretty busy week that finished with a nice weekend of visiting my college friends and the Doherty's St. Patrick's Day party!  It was definitely one to remember as the power went out pretty early on, but we still had plenty of food, drink, and Irish music!!!  Emily really enjoyed her first St. Patrick's Day Party!  Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take any good pictures.  We have started going to a Playday at a local gymnastics gym and Emily really loves it.  There are a bunch of kids around her age and lots of fun stuff to play with!  Check out some pics...

The Ball Popper, one of Emily's favorites!

Crawling through the tunnel.  She is being chased by her buddy AC.

Made it to the end.  She went all the way through her first time in the tunnel.  What a brave little girl!

Playing in the foam!  FUN!

Emily loves it when we push the wooden duck around.  She really wanted to do it herself, so she found a way!

Emily found "Big Bear" this week and loves to snuggle with it.

Mommy got brave and let Emily "roam free" while showering, well what did she do?  Pull back the shower curtain and stick her head in the shower.  Of course she wanted to be where Mommy was.  She liked getting wet too!

The TCNJ girls and Emily.  We didn't plan the matching outfits!!!

Happy Pi Day!
Look at her go.  A baby on the move!

55 Weeks.  What a Cutie Pie!

54 Weeks...

Emily is 54 weeks old.  The votes, or should I say vote, are in!  Keep up with the weekly pics.  There is nothing too exciting to report this week.  Emily is still working on standing and taking a few steps at a time.  We finally have some nicer weather, so we did get outside a little bit this weekend, which was nice.  This summer is going to be a lot of fun with Emily!  She is so interested in everything and once she is walking there will be no stopping her.  She got her first pair of real sneakers this week too.  She's not quite sure what to think of them, but they are totally cute and really make her look like a big girl!!  Here are our pics this week...

Standing and holding a sock behind her head.  She loves taking off her socks and putting them over her head like this or on top of it.

Fun with balloons.  Emily loves balloons and every time she sees on she says "BA" and wants to play with it.  It's a good thing we still have birthday balloons lying around.

Cute pic in her Tu-tu.

More balloons!  These ones are the best!  But as you can see, getting a little low on air, not too sure how much longer they will last.

We tried the little bath seat this week in the big tub and Emily loved it.  She always loves baths.  The big tub uses a lot more water though, so we may stick with the little tub as long as she is still happy!

Fun outside in the wagon.  Emily loves zooming around in it.  We also played some ball and let her walk around a bit.  She was intrigued by the snow that is still around.
