Week 14 and Week 127!

William is 14 weeks old and Emily is 127 weeks old!  We had a pretty low key week since Emily had a little cold early in the week.  I don't really think there is much exciting news to report, so here are some pics of our fun...

Drooly smile...yes Will is the king of drool lately!!!

William is 13 weeks old and Emily is 126 weeks old!

William is 13 weeks old and turned 3 months old on Friday!  What a big boy and my does time fly!!  Emily is 2 years, 5 months now also.  It is pretty convenient that they are both on the 22nd.  Makes it nice and easy to keep track!  William is really starting to play with his toys and is grabbing onto everything, even his sister's hair!  Let the sibling rivalry begin!!!  So far they still love each other.  William totally lights up and smiles whenever Emily plays with him and she gets so excited to see him react to her.  It really is neat to watch.  William rolled over again on Monday, so that makes twice.  He lays on his side all the time and sleeps that way a lot too, but doesn't make it all the way over.  I'm sure it's coming as he is getting stronger everyday.   We had quite a heat wave this week, so we spent a lot of time inside and swimming when we could.  Emily even got to go to the lake with Grammie and her friends on Friday.  I stayed home with Will because it was just too hot for him to be out.  We went to the quarry again on Sunday and Emily had lots of fun swimming and playing with everyone!  It's definitely feeling like summer!!

Here are some pics of our week...

William is 12 Weeks old and his sister is 125!!!

William is 12 weeks old.  I can't believe he is almost 3 months old already.  Where has the time gone?  He had a lot of fun playing with his toys this week.  He likes to pick them up and mostly eat them, but it's something new to do!  I put his toes into Emily's pool water and he hated it, oh well we can try again soon.  It probably is a bit cold for him even in this heat.  He started really sucking his thumb this week also.  He can get it in there after a bit of trying and then just goes to town.  He even spit out his paci to get the thumb in.  He still hasn't done either too often, but the sucking sound is awesome in the morning when he puts himself back to sleep for a little while longer!  He's been sleeping past 7 this week and most days sleeping later than his sister, yahoo!!  We chose the perfect day on Thursday to head to the beach and we all had a blast.  William slept most of the time, but that's nothing new!!

Emily is 125 weeks old.  She's still going strong with the potty, not much new to report except that she loves going to the outhouse at the quarry!  If we have to build an outhouse to get her potty trained perhaps it is worth it!  She has started pronouncing her L's as y's so words like little, sound like yittle.  She used to say L's but not anymore it's kinda funny.  She recognizes most of the letters and numbers from 1-9 and can count things pretty well too.  It's definitely more than just the memorization  of the numbers, she will actually point and count to things.  She is growing and learning so much, it's crazy!!  What happened to my little baby girl???  She seems more confident with herself especially in new places, which is great to see!  Emily had a great time at the beach jumping in the waves and walking with Nana to collect shells and buckets of sand!  She also loves sidewalk chalk and had her first ice cream cone at the quarry on Sunday.  It was National Ice Cream Day, so it was the perfect occasion for that first!

Here are some pics of our fun this week...

Week 11 and Week 124!

William is 11 weeks old.  He is still super happy and laid back and growing all the time.  He can reach the toys on his bouncy chair and has figured out how to play the music all by himself.  He's done it over and over and over so it was definitely not one of those flukey things like when he rolled over.  Still hasn't done that again yet, but he loves rolling to his side so I'm sure he'll do it again eventually!

Emily is 124 weeks old and still going strong with the potty.  She stays dry most of the time as long as I remind her to go to the bathroom all of the time.  Her next goal is to start telling Mommy when she has to go and before she starts doing it!  She has started telling us as she is doing it, so I guess it's a step in the right direction.  Emily is also becoming more confident in public places.  She is always looking to make friends with other kids that are around and actually ordered for herself at a restaurant without even being prompted.  She just told the waiter what she wanted before I had a chance to speak.  What a big girl!!

We began the week with a fun 4th of July at the Kopcho's.  Emily did awesome with the fireworks and learned to ooh and aah.   A huge step up from last year when we sat in the kitchen and missed the whole show!  We also went to Space Farms this week with Jesse, Kim, and Tyler.  Emily had a blast feeding the deer and looking at all of the animals.  She really has no fear and let the animals eat right out of her hand.  It's amazing how different the experience is a year later.  We had a fun weekend with a sleepover at Grammie & Pop Pop's while Mommy and Daddy went to a wedding, dinner with some college friends, and then a belated birthday dinner for Jen.  Here are some pics of our fun...

Happy Fourth!
