Emily is 49 Weeks Old! The countdown to her birthday begins!!! 23 days and counting... This was a pretty busy week. Emily is really becoming more verbal, not quite words yet, but different sounds for different things and you can tell she's really trying to get us to understand her. She is quite the chatterbox an can be really loud too!! She is starting to master crawling. She is still standing and cruising a lot. Emily is always on the go. It is really fun to watch her play and try to figure out what she is thinking. She moves her blocks from one place to another over and over again...it's really cute. We went up to Boston this weekend to visit Ed and Carrie. It was Emily's first long car ride in a while, but she did really well with it. She absolutely fell in love with Millie, the dog, this weekend. They were the best of buds! Emily would feed Millie her food right from her hand and didn't mind being licked one bit! She would laugh and laugh every time she saw the dog. The last time they saw each other neither one of them was very happy about it, but this time they both had a blast! Well, it's official...we have an ELEVEN MONTH OLD! Emily is learning more and more each day. She is finally crawling on all fours a bit more. She is still much more efficient at her little belly crawl though. She stands and picks her blocks up off the floor and puts them on the table, then puts them back. She loves moving things from one place to another. She has learned to shake her head no when she doesn't want something. You can see that in the vegetable video Michael posted. I don't think I shake my head like that often, but she figured it out!! We are so busy playing and moving that I don't have a chance to take pictures as often and when I do they tend to be more of a "photo shoot". Don't worry, we still have waaaay more than we need, although can you ever have too many pictures? Here are a few of our cutie this week...

Emily is 47 weeks old! She is still my 10 month old baby, but not for long. In a few days she will be 11 months old and counting down to 1 year old!!! Where has the time gone? She is growing and exploring every day. She is understanding more and more and even said Pop Pop today! Of course she wouldn't say it when we called him, but she said it! She stayed up for the entire Jets game to cheer them on. I think she's their good luck charm. That's two weeks in a row that she was awake for the whole game, and they are possibly the only two this season. Guess who isn't napping next weekend! Let's go Jets!!!! We were busy with swimming and playgroups this week. She really likes checking out other kids and they learn stuff from each other, it's really neat to see. Emily wants to eat anything I have and will even try it repeatedly even if she doesn't like it, just because its mine! Could be good for getting those veggies into her!!! I have a feeling she'll catch onto that one pretty quickly though. Here are our pics this week...

Emily is 46 weeks old. She is growing and learning every single day! She is getting more and more verbal about what she wants. She is learning to wave bye bye and has finally started crawling on all fours a little bit. She still prefers the army crawl, but is finally getting up. I was beginning to think we were going to skip crawling and head right to walking. She loves being up, standing, cruising, and walking with her walking toy or holding our hands. We have a girl on the move! Emily and I have also started a swimming class together which is a lot of fun. Emily really enjoys the water and is looking like a natural swimmer! Look out Michael Phelps here comes Emily!!! Here are a few pictures from this week of fun!

Happy New Year!! I can't believe it is 2010 already. Emily is getting closer and closer to her first birthday!!! She is really into climbing, cruising, walking with help, talking, anything the big kids are doing! She points to things all of the time and says "words". She also enjoys screaming when something isn't quite going the way she wants it. It's really cool that she has wants and can make them known, but at the same time, she has WANTS, not just needs any longer!! We had another busy week, but hopefully now that the new year has begun, things will calm down a bit and we will get back on a better schedule. Check out what we did this week...

John and Nicole got married on January 1, 2010. What a way to bring in the new year! Everything was perfect for their special day. It was a great celebration and a great time was had by all! Congratulations to the happy couple!
