Emily is 96 Weeks Old!

Emily is 96 weeks old.  We had a very busy week getting ready for and celebrating Christmas.  Michael was off work on Thursday, so he got to come to swim class with us and take some pics.  Emily is doing really well and will now be taking a break for awhile since the swim place is moving.  I'm sure she'll be ready to jump right back in when we start up again though.  We also got to visit Kim, Jesse, and Tyler on Thursday.  They are doing well and Emily thinks Baby Tyler is so cute.  She says she is ready to have a baby at our house too.  I hope she still means it in April!!  I put up a separate post about Christmas, but today we went up to my parents to celebrate.  It was a quick morning visit, since it started snowing this afternoon and will continue until tomorrow.  We had a nice relaxing afternoon, got Emily to bed early, and will probably do the same myself.  We had a great weekend, but definitely need some time to relax and take it all in.  Emily is still discovering some of her new toys and Mike and I have yet to play with some of ours!  I think a game of Life is in order after I am done here!!  Here are some pics of our week...

Mommy finally let Emily devour her gingerbread man.

Hokey Pokey time!  Emily is having a blast even without Mommy!!

Emily's favorite thing to do is swim in the noodle.  She can go the whole length of the pool all by herself!

Christmas 2010

We had a great time celebrating Christmas with Emily this year.  We had nice family dinners on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  Santa came and brought Emily lots of toys and books.  That is all Emily will tell you if you ask her what Santa brought her.  I think she was a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing but definitely had a blast and is enjoying all of her new things.  Now Mom and Dad have to figure out where it is all going to go!  Here are some pics of our Christmas Eve and Christmas fun!

Family pic by the tree

First gift from Gia and Pe Pa.

Funnel Tunnel!  Definitely a hit!!!

Erin likes it too!

Emily could not wait for cake, but we kept telling her she had to wait until after we sang Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus and blew out the candle.

Immediately after the candle was out, she dug into that cake!  Emily is a good listener.  After we took the spoon away, she dove right in with her face! She loves her cake!!!

Santa came!!

Emily loves her new kitchen.  She even opened some of her gifts on it!  And kept going back to play with it instead of opening more gifts.  It definitely took awhile to get through them all when she had to keep taking breaks to play!

Reading her new Mickey Mouse book to her new puppy dog.

Using her cane just like Pop Pop.  Too bad for Pop Pop that his isn't filled with candy too!

Opening with Daddy.

She likes Mommy's new game.  Classic Life!

Grammie came by with a new table and chairs for Emily.  It's just her size!

Emily wanted to play in the big box, so she ripped right in!

What do you know, the slide inside was pretty fun too!

The tunnel was still fun a day later!!
We had a great couple of days spent with family and fun.  Thank you to everyone for making it so special for all of us!  Baby brother even got some gifts too!!  Merry Christmas everyone!

Emily is 95 Weeks Old!

Emily is 95 weeks old.  We had another great week including fun getting ready for Christmas.  We welcomed Tyler into the family on Monday and got to visit him on Tuesday which was fun.  I can't believe how tiny he is!  Emily was that small once too, but I just can't believe it.  She is getting so big and into everything lately.  We were lucky and got to go swimming twice this week.  Emily is finally blowing bubbles!  She usually prefers to drink the water, but is getting better.  Gia even got to come to swim class with us which was a lot of fun.  We visited Pop Pop on Friday after he came home from his hip surgery and made gingerbread men while we were there!  Emily did a really great job, when the candy actually made it onto the cookie!  Saturday was Cookie Day at Aunt Paula's.  It was Emily's first official one since we had a snow storm last year and had to have a virtual cookie day.  We all had a lot of fun and Emily loved the cookies!!!  We also attempted painting for the first time this week.  Emily's attention span isn't long, but she loved it!  We didn't even make too much of a mess.  Pretty soon I'll have a tooth update for you because it looks like SIX are about ready to pop through!  It took awhile for them to come, but she will soon have all of her teeth!!!  Yay Emily!!  Here are some pics from this week...

Emily thought she should wrap herself up for Christmas!

Emily loves drinking orange juice in a big girl cup.  She does pretty well with it too...usually...

First attempt at painting.  It's Christmas craft time!

First gift of the season from Grammie and Pop Pop.

Emily is 94 Weeks Old!!

Emily is 94 weeks old.  We had another fun week!  We got most of our Christmas shopping done, and boy does this girl love to shop!  I'm not quite so sure what makes it so exciting, but Emily loves it.  One of her favorite stores is Shop Rite.  Too bad for her I try to avoid that store as much as I can!  We had fun celebrating Pop Pop's birthday on Friday.  Then we went hunting for our Christmas tree on Saturday.  It was a beautiful day to be wandering through fields of trees.  Sunday we celebrated Jay's birthday with a nice family dinner and once again Emily found her home in the tupperware cabinet!  Here are some pics of the fun...

Look what Emily found on our shopping adventure.  A Snuggie Bear for her baby brother!

Santa Baby

Let's just straighten this out a bit.

 Matching sweater, hat, and mittens!

Pop Pop gave Emily The Night Before Christmas recordable book.  She loves it!

Emily likes the little trees.  They are just her size!
