2017 - The First Third

I finally downloaded my pics from Christmas and beyond. Yes, things have changed a bit from my weekly downloads! We had a fun winter and are enjoying spring!! Softball and Baseball have started and the kids are loving it. We had two Pokemon birthday parties as that is what both kiddos are into right now. William is especially obsessed and all he wanted for his birthday were Pokemon cards. He got plenty of those and even his new pet a gerbil named Justin. Thank you Aunt Carrie and Uncle Eddie! Mike had a gerbil named Justin when he was a kid and William's best friend at school is named Justin so it was a no brainer for William! Since gerbils are very social animals we decided to add to our family and get Emily one also...coming this week!! We had fun hosting holidays in our new home this year and can't wait for the memories to continue. It's almost a year since we moved already!!!

A Year in Review

It's been a very busy year for us! Kids are growing and doing well. We bought a new house this Spring and I started teaching again. Lots of change! If you ask the kids the most exciting part of our new house is that it is two layers and has a pool! We definitely enjoyed having the pool this summer as well as our yard and quiet street. The kids can ride their bikes in our driveway and on the road by themselves and they love it!

William is loving kindergarten and wants to be an inventor when he grows up. He loves pokemon, skylanders, and star wars. He has started reading, which is just so awesome. I love watching him learn and grow. He had a blast playing soccer this fall and can't wait for baseball season! He has also declared himself a Giants fan (and an anti Jets fan), which makes life interesting!

Emily is in second grade and is having a great year in her new school. She is reading chapter books all the time now. I love being able to share some books from my childhood with her. She is working through the Ramona books right now and is starting to read some of the American Girl books too. She likes to read at bed time and often stays up way too late reading in her room! She is still dancing and started Irish dance this year as well. She enjoyed soccer and is looking forward to softball this spring.

I know there are a lot of events I missed this year, but just thought I'd leave you with a bit of an update and a couple of pics from the last year...Enjoy!
