First Grade...here she comes!!!!

Today was Emily's last day of Kindergarten.  As excited as I am for summer fun, I can't help but be a little sad that the year is over already.  Emily had an amazing teacher and a great group of kids.  I know I said the same thing last year, but I can't imagine we will be lucky  enough to get another amazing teacher next year!  Emily learned so much this year and ended the year at the reading level they expect at the end of first grade!  She recently gained a little more confidence and just took off.  Her favorite thing to do is write, which she is also doing very well with.  I am so proud of her and all she has accomplished.  She absolutely loves school and learning.  So much so that as soon as she came home today we started working on "Mommy School".  She is still sticking with being a doctor when she grows up, but has mentioned author as well.

Emily's teacher has had nothing but amazing things to say about our little girl.  She is a leader and role model that is highly respected by her peers.  She works hard, is super sweet, respectful and of course listens!  I can't wait to see what first grade brings for our little girl.  Of course, I can wait long enough to have an amazing summer!!!  Can't wait to relax and have Mommy School everyday!!!

Tee Ball

We began our adventures in Tee ball this year.  Emily wanted to give it a try and it became impossible to keep William off the field so he joined the team too!  Both kids loved it and learned a lot this year.  William was Mr. Hustle and would have fielded every ball if he was allowed to.  Every time the ball was hit, he was moving and ready to get it!  He got better at only going to the ones on his 3/4 of the field!!  Emily was a little more into daydreaming, but still had fun and talks about playing softball next year.  At least she doesn't have to run and sweat as much as she did in soccer!  :)  Here are some pics from our last game.

William's First Year of Preschool is OVER!

I can't believe it is June already, but it is!  William just finished his first year of preschool.  He has grown so much this year and I couldn't be prouder of my little man.  He is so sweet and even though he is constantly talking when he is home, he was very quiet and respectful in school.  He made some great friends and it is so fun to see him play and interact with the friends he has made in school.

When I ask him what he wants to be when he grows up, he says he wants jobs, 10 jobs!  His favorite however is a person who scoops fish with a little net at a pet store.  I'm really not sure how he came up with that one, but it could be fun!  At the beginning of the year he wanted to be a construction worker, garbage man, and a dragon.  When I reminded him of this he got very excited and said I want to be a dragon and started roaring!!

William is a smart kid who is always trying to figure things out.  He remembers everything and always has something funny to say, whether he intended it to be funny or not!  He knows what he wants and is definitely going to be the best fish scooper there ever was!  I love you little man!!!!

William is FOUR!

My sweet baby boy is four years old today!  He was so excited about his birthday and had fun celebrating.  We had a small party at Grammie and Pop Pop's house that was full of Super Hero fun!  William wanted to be the Hulk for his party and was very opinionated about every aspect of his party.  Everything came together, we had a gorgeous day, and the birthday boy loved every minute of the day!  We also celebrated at Aunt Paula and Uncle Jimmy's on Sunday along with all of the other April family birthdays.

After a weekend of fun, all William wanted to do on his birthday was to go to the park with Mommy and go to Panera for dinner.  He didn't want to have friends over, just a day with Mommy!  Totally made my heart melt and I really hope that's what he wants every year!!  We had an awesome time at the park running back and forth and doing everything he wanted!  He now makes sure everyone knows he is four and is super excited to be able to raise his hand as a four year old at school.

My four year old loves super heros and ninja turtles.  He also loves playing with legos, cars and trucks, and tools.  He can entertain himself for quite awhile and is so imaginative.  I love just listening to him play.  William is a funny kid, he always has something to say and entertains us all on a daily basis.  We are always surprised by some of the things that come out of his mouth!  I really can't wait to see what the next year brings for my little boy.  He is growing up so much and is definitely not a baby anymore!!  Of course, he will always be my baby whether he likes it or not!  Here are some pics of my four year old and his birthday fun!
