My Baby Girl Turns Six!

Emily has grown so much this last year.  She is having a great year in school and learning so much.  I think we can say she is a reader!  She is reading more and more words and can read some simple books now too.  She is making lots of friends at school and had a great birthday party at a gymnastics place with her class.  The highlight for her was getting to strap into a harness and fly in the air and do a back flip!  Her party was a Rapunzel theme and I had a lot of fun working on the cake and little details to make the day perfect for my little princess.  We had some snow the day of her party and had to push off family dinner to the next day with the exception of Jay and Jackie who braved the snow on Saturday to come hang out with us!  Thank you so much to everyone who wished Emily a Happy Birthday!  She got a desk and is super excited!!!  Our girl loves her writing and crafting and has been dying for a desk for about a year now.  Here are some pics of our 6 year old and her birthday fun!

Time to Catch Up

Sorry for the lack of posts, but I have not forgotten about the blog!  It has just been so long, I don't know where to start.  We had a ton of fun celebrating the Holidays and are back into our winter routine.  It's been a pretty low key winter weather wise, but that's about to change.  We got about 8 inches this weekend and a big storm is coming our way tomorrow.  Maybe I'll find some time to add to the blog!  Or maybe not... :)

Here's a bit of an update on the kiddos and I promise I'll get some pictures up soon!

Emily is doing great in school and is starting to read.  It's really exciting to see how much she has grown since the beginning of the year.  She loves to write all the time.  One of her favorite Christmas gifts was her "lock book".  She loves writing in it and making pictures for people all the time.  Her favorite activities are dance, ice skating, and Daisy Scouts.  I'm sure many of you have gotten the "Cookie Call" recently.  If you haven't, let me know and I'll get our little saleswoman on the case!  She's having so much fun selling cookies.   I am so proud of her.  She is so confident and is really coming out of her shell.  She also just signed up for T-Ball and is super excited about it.

William loves school and pretty much cracks us up on a daily basis.  He always has something to say and has a great sense of humor.  He plays really well by himself and I just love listening to him play.  He has such a great imagination and it's so neat to see what he comes up with.  He is not really interested in team sports yet, but loves his gymnastics class.  He has grown so much physically since last year also.  He is willing to try everything in class and is really doing a great job.  He loves going out in the snow and "helping" us shovel.  He loves sledding and just being out in the snow!  Good thing he's going to get a whole lot more soon!!  And of course Emily loves the snow too!  It's nice that they are big enough to play together while Mike and I get the shoveling done.

Happy 1st Birthday Paige!

We made the trip up to NY today to celebrate Paige's first birthday!  I can't believe it's been a year already and what an eventful year for Erin, Jamie, and Paige.  We're just very excited that they are just a short drive away now.  Hopefully we'll get to see them a little more often now.  Here are some pics of Paige's Winter One-derland party!  I apologize for the abundance of cake eating pics, but she was just so cute I couldn't help myself!!!
