Emily started school last week. She was very excited and of course was a little nervous also. She is in the same school as last year, but is in a different classroom with different teachers. She jumped right in and as nervous as she claimed to be, wasn't even going to give me a kiss the first day I dropped her off! She has a few friends in her class from last year, so that has helped the transition also. We also jumped right into dance and soccer! Emily was excited about soccer until she heard she had to wear BLACK shorts. Black is not a color that appears much in her wardrobe and is apparently unacceptable! She even told me she was not going to play soccer next year because of the black shorts thing. I am glad she understands commitment and was still planning on playing this year! We went shopping and after trying on several different pairs of shorts, she chose a pair with a pink waistband that she approves of. Oh my little princess, what am I going to do with you?!? She was ok with the black and blue cleats because the boys would like to look at them as they watched her run around! I hate to break it to you kiddo, but the boys do not care what you are wearing!! Luckily, after she played on Saturday she loved it and hopefully the black shorts saga is behind us! Here are a few pic of our week of firsts....
