Week 73 and Week 186

William is 73 Weeks old and Emily is 186 Weeks old.  This was Emily's big week of firsts!!!  She had her first day of preschool, which was really two firsts since I got to stay with her the first day, so the second day was her first time going all alone.  She was very excited about it, did really well the first day with me, and was ready to go all by herself on Thursday.  She did really well, I gave her a hug in the hallway right before she went in and she went in gave the teacher her bag, but needed to come back for one more hug before heading in.  That was the biggest hug ever!  I could tell she was nervous, but she turned around and went right back in.  As I walked out with William I cried a little, but I wasn't a complete mess!  We then met some friends at the park to play which helped pass the time and then went back to pick up Emily.  As soon as we pulled into the parking lot William started getting very excited and was saying "Eh-nee!  Eh-nee!".  When we got out of the car he was even more excited and ran to the door still saying her name.  A bunch of the other Moms were peeking in the window while class was finishing up and knowing my girl I knew she'd be looking for my face, so I took a quick peek and the smile on her face was priceless!  Even though I told her over and over I'd be back I'm not sure she really believed it!  She was pretty talkative when I picked her up and throughout the day I got more and more details.  I think one of the hardest things is not knowing what she did!  I was glad I got quite a few details to piece her day together though.  She made a collage as her first school project and loved it!

Later that day was her first dance class and it was awesome!  She has the same teacher as last year, but it is an earlier class and the only one there so there is a lot less chaos oh and there are only 4 girls in the class and 3 of them were together last year!  The teacher said they are an awesome group and she is excited about the year too!  While we were waiting William had an audience to himself with no interruptions from his sister, so he just talked and chattered the entire time!  He is very vocal these days, copying everything we say and just talking all the time!  He also kept walking up to the door and saying Emily.  He really loves and misses his big sister.  Emily was super excited after dance class and really just had a great day.  She has grown up so much since last year.  It's amazing the difference a year makes.

Then onto our last first of the weekend was Emily's first day of Sunday School.  She was excited and did great with that too.  She went up for the children's sermon by herself for the first time, then we went down to Sunday School where she got to sing then head to her class.  She's been singing the song she learned all day!  Then she went right into class without even a hug.  I think it was easier because she knew I wasn't leaving the building, just going back upstairs to church.  The only thing she told us was that she played games, but can't tell us what kind because she doesn't know.  She was happy though and wants to go back, so we'll go with it!!  Overall a great week of firsts for Emily, I just can't believe she's growing up and old enough to have all of these firsts!!

William just keeps on talking and learning everyday and I'm looking forward to spending some special time with him while Emily is in school.  Hopefully we have another great week as we get used to our new routine and head into the fall!

Here are some pics of our week...
