30 Day Challenge

After owning my camera for 2.5 years I have finally decided/found the time to learn how to use it in full manual mode.  I've been doing some reading and decided to try a 30 day challenge of taking creative pictures of my kids.  Each day has a different prompt to attempt.  Some are easier than others, especially with 2 subjects who do not always do what I want them to!!!  It would be much easier if they didn't move so much!!!  Anyway, I'm having fun so far and learning as I go.  I hope to do this again once I have more practice and see how the pictures compare.  If you have any suggestions or critiques please feel free to share, I want to learn!

Here are some examples from the first few days of the challenge.

Day1:  You and your child.  Of course I didn't take this one, but I made sure we were together.  Thanks for taking this one Mike!!

Day 2:  A picture of your child sleeping.  I love his little sleepy feet next to the "Things That Go" book.

Day 3:  Reading their favorite book.  This one was kinda tough since you can't make kids read if they aren't in the mood!  And somehow I didn't take any pics at bedtime either.

Day 4:  Running around Playing.  This one was tough on a rainy day when we went to the mall!

Not really running, but playing and so typical boy holding the doll by her leg!

Peek a boo!

Day 5:  With their favorite stuffed animal.  I liked this one!!

Watching TV with her one and only Snuggie Bear!

Baby hands.

Day 6:  Crack the door and see what they're doing.  This one was tough since they were with me all day!   Didn't have too many opportunities to take a pic without them knowing I was there.

Caught them playing kitchen together.

Day 7:  Playing in the tub.  I had fun with this one, but since they were moving so much while splashing I had trouble keeping the right things in focus.  Something to work on.

Big splash!

The I just dumped cold water on my head face.

Happy boy in the bath.
