Vacation Part I

The first part of our vacation was in Nags Head.  We had great weather to start the week and Emily had a blast swimming and going to the beach to see the trucks.  Yes, there were trucks all over the beach doing restoration.  It didn't stop us though, we found a good place to dig and do some swimming!  Our week was cut short as we were evacuated on Thursday in anticipation of Hurricane Irene.  Here are some pics of our fun!

Week 17 and Week 130

William is 17 weeks old and Emily is 130 weeks old.  We spent the week getting ready for vacation and started our trip on Saturday at 4 am!  I'll post more about vacation in other posts, but here are a few pics of our week!

Week 16 and Week 129

William is 16 Weeks old and Emily is 129 weeks old.  We had another fun week.  We went to the fair on Tuesday and Emily had a blast!  She loved everything about it, the animals, rides, food, she just had a great time.  Well, she didn't love meeting Smokey the Bear so much, but she did get a nice pink pencil from him!  William slept through most of it, but he loves hanging out wherever we go!

William has found his feet and really enjoys grabbing and playing with them.  I think we've even heard a giggle or two.  He is growing up so fast!!  As for what we are calling him these days...Will, Buddy Boy, Buddy Man, Little Fella (Emily's favorite!), Silly Willie, and Daddy's new fav...Spider Man!

16 Weeks Old

Week 15 and Week 128

William is 15 weeks old and Emily is 128.  William went for his first swim on Monday.  He was pretty indifferent to it, he didn't cry or make any faces, but no smiles either.  Just took it like the laid back guy he is!  Emily had an absolute blast swimming, jumping, and putting her face in the water.  She is going to LOVE having a pool for vacation!  I'm just afraid she's gonna try to jump in when no one is there to catch her.  She has no fear when it comes to the water.

William is starting to find his feet which is really cool.  He loves to hold on to his snuggie bears and dogs and likes to play with toys.  Emily loves finding toys for him to play with.  She is doing a great job as a big sister. 

We had a busy weekend celebrating both Grandma's birthdays.  We also got to meet Curious George!  Emily wasn't too thrilled with the bigger than daddy monkey, but was willing to walk up to him as long as I was holding onto her and she was holding on to me with quite a grip.  There were a bunch of activities for the kids to do also, and she had a ball making her own monkey, coloring, and listening to Georgie stories.  She even got a monkey tattoo!
