Emily is 99 Weeks Old!

Emily is 99 Weeks Old.  We are finally getting back into a bit of a routine which is very nice.  We had a pretty busy week of playing and shopping.  We finished it off with an amazing Jets win over the Patriots in the playoffs.  They are off to the AFC championship next week!  Who's up for a trip to the Super Bowl???  We started Playday this week, which is a fun time where Emily gets to play with all kinds of toys and friends at a gymnastics gym.  She had a blast and it was nice to just let her go and play and do her thing for the most part.  Of course I was still watching her and got sucked into some of the fun, but it is much different than following her around and helping her with everything like I had to do last winter.  What a difference a year makes!  Emily is still amazing us with what she says and does every single day.  She seems to remember EVERYTHING, so watch what you say and do!  Here are some pics of our fun...

Ok, we got on them.  The walking part didn't happen, but she got this far!

Crazy hair after a slide!

...and we all fall down!

Mmmm...cupcake!

We are working on getting Emily ready for her big girl bed.  I found a quilt this week, so we put it on the bed to see how it looked.  As you can see, she felt right at home and brought all of her animals in to try it out too!  If anyone has any decorating ideas please let me know!  The quilt is very pink!!

Yes, she even eats beef jerky!

Go Jets!

Doing a cheer!!

So excited that the Jets won!!

Emily is 98 Weeks Old!

Emily is 98 Weeks Old.  She was sick at the beginning of this week, so getting back to normal after the holidays took a bit longer, but we are finally there, I think!  We finally got out on Wednesday and it felt good.  Then of course Michael came home sick on Thursday, so I am just hoping I am not next.  So far, so good...  Emily said "I love you Mommy" all on her own without being begged for it on Tuesday and it was soooo nice!!  I can't wait to hear it again.  We had some more snow on Friday, so it's a good thing Emily was feeling better so she could help sick Daddy and pregnant Mommy shovel!  Emily loves being out in the snow, and shoveling seems to be her favorite activity.  Although, she did plop herself down in the snow and make a snow angel without us even showing her how to do it.  Saturday was Cristin's baby shower and Christmas with Ed and Carrie, since they were on vacation for Christmas this year.  It was a nice day capped off by a JETS win!  Spreading Christmas out over a few weeks is always fun!  Emily loved opening more gifts and I think she opened every gift whether they were hers or not.  I think she's ready for her birthday!  Here are some pics of our week...

Someone is ready for some swimming!

Guess what Emily is eating?
Mashed Potatoes!  Yes, Emily has started eating some vegetables finally!  It's usually only a couple of bites at a time, but a step in the right direction.

Fun with the tunnel.  We brought it out on the snow day and she was so excited to see it!

Cristin's Baby Shower

Cristin had a baby shower on Saturday to celebrate the twin girls who will be joining our family.  It was a very nice day and I think Cristin was a bit overwhelmed by everyone's generosity, but she should have known better!  She has tons of support from her family and friends.  The girls definitely have plenty of stuff to get them started off when they arrive.  Congrats Cristin, Pat, and Connor on your new additions!!  Here are a few pics.

Handmade outfits for the girls.

This was Cristin's baptism dress that Aunt Donna made.

Snow stuff with Emily

Here are some videos of Emily playing in the snow.

Emily Interview

Here's an interview we did with Emily a few months ago before we knew the gender of the baby.

Emily likes the RC car

Daddy got this for Christmas. At first Emily was scared to go near it. Now she NEEDS to drive it every day.

97 Weeks Old

Emily is 97 Weeks old today.  We had a really fun week celebrating and spending time with friends and family.  Michael had the week off, so it was especially nice!  We did quite a bit of cleaning, organizing, and throwing away of junk!  We need to make space for our new little addition.  We still have a lot more work to do, but we are getting there!  We had our first snow storm of the season on Sunday into Monday and Emily had a blast helping Daddy shovel and riding in her new sled!  We had a nice New Year's spent with some friends and Erin.  Emily stayed up until 10!  Who knows by next year she may make it to midnight!!  Emily's two bottom molars started poking through this weekend and she has four other teeth that should pop through any day now!  Poor baby!!!  Here are some pics from our week of fun...

Fun in the snow!
