61 Weeks Old

Emily is 61 weeks old.  Tuesday or Wednesday Emily was finally her happy self again during the day.  She has been pretty miserable lately waiting for her teeth to pop through and you guessed it, the bottom two just started to peek through those gums.  Almost instantly she stopped sleeping at night, but that's another story.  14 months old and finally some sign of teeth...yay Emily!  She is saying more words every day.  Her new favorite game is to sit by the front window and point and say "Car" at all of the cars as they pass by.  We have also learned tree and truck by looking out the window.  Emily is becoming much more confident with her walking and still LOVES being outside.  We had a great time at Rutgers on Saturday for Emily's second Ag Field Day.  The first one that she was awake for though.  I think the only time she wasn't walking was when we put her in her stroller, which wasn't for long!  Here are some pics from this week...

Having fun at the last Playday!

Emily is always putting things into containers.  She has filled her blocks bag up with not only blocks, but animals, and even her milk cup!  What else can she fit in there?

My tree at my parents house.  So pretty!

I want to go outside and play some more Mommy.  Sorry, it's raining!

60 Weeks Old!

Well, if it wasn't official before, it's official now...we have a WALKER!!!  Probably around Friday Emily really started taking off on her own.  She walks from the living room to the kitchen or down the hallway and because she wants to!  She can even turn without falling.  She has also stood up without pulling herself up on something a few times as well.  Oh, and another thing, Emily figured out how to give Snuggie bear a bath...in the toilet!  That was a fun one to discover.  The bathroom door is now closed all the time...or whenever we remember!  We had a pretty busy week and somehow I didn't take a whole lot of pictures, but here is what we've got!

This is what happens when we let Emily feed herself yogurt.  No spoon required!

Perhaps she'll get better with practice.  Wait a minute, this looks even worse!
Look closely at her foot...yep covered in yogurt!
I think this was only after a few bites of Mommy's yogurt besides.

59 Weeks Old...

Emily is 59 Weeks old!  We had some great weather this week and took full advantage.  We spent lots of time outside in our backyard and going to parks.  Emily is walking a bit more, she still prefers to have a hand to hold on to though.  She can go much faster that way and not have to worry about balance as much!  She is mimicking a lot of words that we say.  It is really fun to watch her communication skills develop.  We had Grandma Horner's 85th birthday dinner on Saturday and Emily did pretty well and really enjoyed her chicken fingers and birthday cake!  We are still waiting on Emily's teeth, which have to be coming soon.  She seems to be pretty miserable lately and is always chewing on her fingers, and is just overall cranky.  I hope they poke through soon, they are so close I can almost feel them!!!  Here are some pics of our week.

Messy hair and playing on the deck.  Emily loves rocks!

She looks so proud of herself here.  Look at her go in her cute shorts!

Trying to put just one more on the stack.  It didn't work, but she did build the whole thing herself!

Playing with wood chips at the park.  It was fine until she started eating them.

Going down the slide!

Picking pretty purple flowers for Mommy.  You can see them all in my hand!

Picking the dandelions too!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Sleepy Baby.  She may be getting big, but she still loves a good snuggle with Mom.

Emily's Second Easter!

No more first holidays for Emily.  We had a wonderful Easter with Emily and our families.  For those we didn't get to see, hopefully we will see you soon!  Emily loves Easter Eggs, she calls them balls, but loves crawling after them and she found out very quickly that there are treats inside them!  The Easter Bunny filled her eggs with goldfish and mini nilla wafers, yum!  Here are some pics from Easter.

Emily found the trail of eggs leading from her room to her Easter basket.  Notice the mouth full of goldfish already!

She found her basket!

All ready for church.

Bubbles!  Thank you Grammie and Pop Pop.

Snuggle Time.

Emily walked (with help) all the way from Grandma & Grandpa's house down the street to Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's house and back later too!  She loves to be on the move.

So much fun!

58 Weeks Old!

Emily is 58 weeks old!  We had another fun week with some great weather.  Emily has been very attached to Mommy lately, but by the weekend was getting over it a little.  She is taking more steps and LOVES being outside!  She goes over to the back door and says "big ball" because she knows we keep it right outside the door.  If I don't let her go outside when she wants to she screams about it.  She definitely knows what she wants!!!  Emily's favorite game right now is peek-a-boo.  She will play it with anything she can cover her face with and just laughs and laughs!  We also went to a local farm for an Easter Egg hunt and to see the Easter bunny, Emily loves the eggs but wants absolutely nothing to do with the bunny!  Maybe we'll get a pic of her with him next year.

Mommy got Emily near the bunny, but she was not happy about it!

Playing in the grass with her friend Grace.
