Alex's Bridal Shower

Alex Hill's bridal shower was today. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a great time. Thanks so much to everyone involved in planning this special day!!! Here are a few pics of the fun.

Watching the end of Albert's video. This was a neat twist on the how well does the bride know the groom game. Albert's responses were recorded so we could all see them!!! Great idea!

Gifts!!

Beautiful handmade blanket.

Do Alex and Melanie think they are in school? No, I think they were just telling someone to stand up!!

Alex in her beautiful bow hat! Whoever made it has a lot of talent!!!

Back of the bow hat. Don't worry Alex, every bride has to do this!! Now it will be fun for you to do to all of your friends!!!

Emily is 36 weeks old!

Emily is 36 weeks old today! We had a fun week getting ready for Halloween. Emily is really moving all over the place and has figured out how to move forward on her belly. Not quite a crawl yet, but she's getting closer everyday!!! She is also discovering more finger foods and loves bananas!!! Here are a few pics from this week...

Emily so proud of herself for turning her mobile on by herself when she woke up from her nap!

Playing with the pumpkins.

Peas and carrots. She likes them a lot better in pieces than pureed! (I did find most of them on the high chair though, so not sure how many she actually ate!)

More please!!
Emily loves banana pieces and she saw me taking bites and wanted to try. She did a great job with it. Some of the pieces she gnawed off were a bit big, but she did well with it! It's amazing what those gums can do!!

36 weeks old and counting...these numbers are getting big fast!!!!!!

Happy Halloween!!

Here are some pics from Emily's first Halloween. We had a great time at Cristin and Pat's and I wish I got pics of all of the cool costumes!! If anyone has some you'd like me to share just pass them along....Thanks!!

Our little pumpkin! I moved her after this one because I didn't like the garbage cans in the background, but of course she looked the best in this one!!! :)

I like Halloween if it means I get to play with new stuff!!

I love Halloween!!

The gardening family!

Connor the puppy dog.

Puppy in a flower pot!

Mike getting into the Halloween spirit!

Kim, Jesse, & Connor. Connor was more interested in his doggie toy!

Danny the pirate had already changed, but still had a blast playing with Emily. He's such a good big cousin!

Look at those baby feet. You were little like that too Danny!!

35 Weeks old!

Emily is 35 weeks old! Fall is going rather quickly, I can't believe Halloween is almost here already. Emily went to her first Halloween party on Friday and had a blast! She loved watching the big kids and wanted to be a part of everything. She also had a super cute costume if I do say so myself! On Thursday Emily officially became an 8 month old...Eeeeek 2/3 of a year!!! We had some beautiful weather this week, so we got outside again which was really nice.

Emily's little friends saw her bear and got all excited so they brought her every stuffed animal they could find. It was so sweet, and here she is surrounded by them all!!

Happy girl in a bear jacket! I went out with her and people thought she was a boy, so not sure how often we'll be wearing this one...

Swinging at the park by Grammie and Pop Pop's house.

Standing in the kitchen with Daddy. She looks like such a big girl here!

The three of us at the Halloween Party. How do we look?

Farmer and his flower.

Just hanging out with my socks in my pockets. Daddy thought that was a good place for them since Emily keeps taking them off her feet!

Having fun in the bath! We moved her to the big tub for the first time. Soooo Big!!

Watching the Jets with Pop Pop.

34 Weeks!!!

Emily is 34 weeks old. She is growing and checking everything out! Although this week, she finally started falling asleep in her stroller during walks again! Good thing, since we did a couple of long ones this week. Emily is a really happy baby and seems to be getting over her separation anxiety a bit. She let everyone hold her at Aunt Donna's house today for Nana's birthday celebration and only cried once. (I'm not gonna name names.....) We were hoping to do some pumpkin picking this weekend, but that didn't happen thanks to this lovely weather we have had. It's supposed to warm up this week, so hopefully we'll get some in more outdoors time!! Here are the pics of our adventures this week...

Going shopping! Mommy finally decided Emily was big enough to sit in the cart. She did really well and seemed to enjoy being a "big girl".

We surprised Great Grandma with a birthday visit this week!

Emily finally meets Great Uncle Eddie. They had a blast playing with the water bottle together!

Looking out the window Friday morning. Do you see the white stuff????

Yup, it's really snow! This pic was taken after some had started to melt.

She still likes playing with her keys!

Snuggling with Daddy and chewing on her new cell phone!

Emily had lots of fun playing with Grandpa

Snuggly little bear ready for a car ride!

34 weeks old. Great job Daddy, we didn't even need a distraction this week!!

Happy Birthday this week to Great Grandma Rita and the Nana!
Sorry Nana, I never took my camera out this afternoon. It was a wonderful celebration!

Taking weekly pics

This is what it takes to get her picture. Normally she lunges for that paper at every chance she gets.

Emily is 33 weeks old!

Emily is 33 weeks old today! It's been another week of fun. Emily is "talking" a lot and really moving around as you'll see in some of the pics. She rolls all over the place, pushes herself backwards, and spins. Next step...crawling! Not so sure if I'm ready for that yet as exciting as it is. My baby girl is growing up! We've been taking some video of Emily's adventures and hopefully Mike will get some posted soon. She also started smacking her lips and clicking her tounge. She loves making noise!!! Check out this week...

Emily managed to get herself in this position. Looks soooo comfortable!!

Ahhh...that's better! Now I can see what's going on.

Emily rolled her way over here. She pulled out the doll and book and is going back for more. She knows how to get what she wants!!!

So cute, she made it to the kitchen...almost!

What a nice fall day for a family photo!

Daddy teaching Emily how to play chess. She wanted to move the queen right away, but Daddy said they had to start with a different piece.

Happy girl right out of the bath tub!

Checking out the leaf. Of course she kept trying to put it in her mouth, but each time she tried I told her not to and she listened. She's so smart!!!

So cute sitting in the grass.

Happy Fall!

So, Mommy and Daddy got smart and decided to occupy Emily with a water bottle while taking the weekly pics. I think water bottles are a step ahead of paper, so she left the sign alone. We'll just have to live with a water bottle in the picture now too!
