Emily is 26 weeks old!

Here is Emily's 26 week picture. Other pics from this week are included in vacation posts. Emily has pretty much perfected sitting, she sometimes falls over eventually, but can sit and play for a long time. She is also using the universal "pick me up" sign on a regular basis now too, she's done it before but now it's used a lot! You know the one; when kids reach their arms in the air when they want to be picked up. I didn't realize stuff like that started so soon. Oh yeah, and the biggest part of week 26, was that it included her SIX MONTH birthday! It's been half a year since my little baby was born. It is going way too fast, but I'm loving every minute of it!

25 weeks old!

Emily is 25 weeks old! We spent this week getting ready for vacation. Since I already posted some pics and others are in the vacation post, I only have one pic for you. That doesn't mean Week 25 was any less important or exciting. Emily did pretty well on the drive down to OBX and really started perfecting her sitting toward the end of the week. Here she is all ready for the pool and 25 weeks old!

25 weeks...almost!

We are headed off to vacation tomorrow morning and since I'm not sure when I'll be able to post again, here are a few pics to tide you over until we get back! It's been a great week so far. We've been trying some new foods and getting much better at sitting. Sometimes Emily can sit on her own for a whole minute!! I know its just going to keep progressing from there. She looks so cute when she sits too as you can see in the pics. We are looking forward to a nice beach vacation and hopefully Emily enjoys it, and doesn't hate the car ride too much. Here's the pics of the short week...

Sitting on the couch like a big girl. So cute!

We went to a farm and saw some animals and watched the big kids pick some peaches and raspberries. It was fun!

Mmmm...Sweet Potatoes! Did any make it in the mouth?!? At least she enjoyed them more than the green beans!

There she is sitting again!

Oh, and don't worry, the sign and bear are coming with us on vacation so there will still be weekly pics! I just might not get around to posting them until we get back.

24 weeks old!

Emily is 24 weeks old today! We had some fun trying new foods this week. Emily loves oatmeal, but green beans leave something to be desired it seems. We'll keep trying though! Emily is starting to get a little better at sitting up with some support, but isn't quite ready to do it on her own for more than a few seconds. She's still growing and changing all the time and we are looking forward to taking her on vacation next week!

Still doing her crunches. She's got better ab muscles than Mommy that's for sure!

I'll sit up when I know I have the couch to lean back on. See the drool too?

Sweet as can bee!

Green Beans? I don't think so Mommy!

Check out all of this fun stuff. I like this new toy!

I really like it! I get to be up and playing at the same time!!!

We went to the beach with Liz and Supurna on Saturday. Emily was just chillin'.

We both have blue stripes!

Daddy's trying to figure out the best way to pack for vacation. How about putting Emily in the bag?

24 Weeks old! Have you noticed the last two weeks I've had to put the sign further away from Emily, since she seems to love paper and grab at it every chance she gets!

God Bless Emily Anne

Emily Anne was baptized today at the Stanhope United Methodist Church. It was a beautiful service and we were blessed to share it with so many family and friends. Emily was great during the whole thing and definitely enjoyed her special day. Thank you to everyone who had a part in making this day special for Emily and our family. The pictures are in reverse order, just in case you couldn't figure it out. We did not have a party before the 9:30 am service!

Emily is 23 Weeks Old Today!

Well, week 23 was a busy one! Emily had a lot of fun and is continuing to grow and become more aware of everything going on. She wants to be in the middle of everything and laying on her back is just not doing it!!! She wants to sit up and stand, but she just doesn't quite have the balance to do it yet. We had lots of visitors this week and a big party today for her baptism. Check out this week's fun!

Mommy showed me how to hold myself up in my crib! (She may regret doing it, but aren't I just so cute looking like a big girl standing on my own!)

This cereal is finger lickin' good!

Smile? OK!

Nana, Emily, and Great Grandma

Aunt Erin came all the way from Georgia to visit! She hadn't seen me since I was 5 weeks old, so it was exciting!! Emily loves her Aunt Erin.

Aunt Carrie, Uncle Eddie, and Millie (the newest addition to the family).

Mommy and Emily outside on a beautiful Saturday. Why couldn't we have had weather like this today!!

Emily is 23 Weeks old! Woohoo!
By the way, this picture was taken around 7 pm after such a busy day! Emily really is a trooper and still smiling!!!
